Beginner Typing Lesson 1b

Before you start Lesson 1b, be sure to do
Introducing Words  &
The  Vowels E,  U and  I
Follow the colours and finger numbers in the next chart to practise lines of each pattern or word in the following exercises. Visualise where the letter keys are and use the fingers shown.

Using only the four Left hand letter keys, D and F on the Home Key row with E and R on the row above we can feel out the word ‘fred’ which is one of over 30 words that can be formed from only these four letters.  Two other examples are, referee and feeder.

I am new to computing and have never learned typing so have found it quite difficult to remember where the letters are. I have been searching for a suitable method to learn to type easily as I want to type up my life story. Suddenly I found yours and it's just what I need. I'm progressing slowly but surely so thank you so much.
DO THIS NOW....  Place your fingers over the Home Keys. With the Left hand first (index) finger lightly tap (not press) f r f r f r f r.  Now with the second finger lightly tap d e d e d e d e.

On the Home Keys tap these fingers on d f d f d f d f then on the row above tap e r e r e r e r.

Within these four letters the Left hand can type the common word patterns de ed re er.

Feel them out now by lightly touching the keys.

These patterns are used in words like demand remind asked walker.
